Nakba Museum Project of Memory and Hope

Nakba Museum Project of Memory and Hope was started in the summer of 2014, to tell the stories that have been silenced for too long, and to bear witness both to the memories and the hopes of three generations of families who suffered the dispossession of the Nakba. By creating a physical space here in the nation's capital, the museum will feature art, stories and photos of the past and the future, items that can be shared and will inspire a new deeper conversation. Though our project is barely 8 months old, the founders have discovered a real groundswell of support for the idea. We are determined to empower refugees by inviting them to finally tell their stories and educate Americans about the Nakba and its continuous implications on the present day life.
